Japanese representative for Asia E-Sports Cup has been found as UNiTED has won the domestic qualifier. They also become a part of myRevenge as their Japanese CS team. A total of eight teams attended the final qualifier which saw UNiTED place second in group A after La Cosanostra Cat while Carezza and DotA advanced from group B as first and second seed respectively. UNiTED and La Cosanostra Cat eventually made their way to the grand final where the former took revenge on the latter by scoring a 2-0 win to earn the chance to represent Japan at Asia E-Sports Cup.
Following their victory in Tokyo, UNiTED have become the Counter-Strike 1.6 division of myRevenge, whose staff stated they are happy that CS isn't declining in Asia as it is elsewhere in the world. The former UNiTED team's first tournament under the myRevenge tag will be Asia E-Sports Cup finals which will be held on September 21-23 at Tokyo Game Show.
Hybrid previously qualified in Malaysia while NSD Gaming topped the Indian qualification. Final team for the $16,500 tournament will be found in Singapore on September 7-8. |
